Meet Denise

This is ME. I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 2018 at the age of 40. Those words were pure devastation for me, my husband, and our 3 children. After countless appointments and tests, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. After being in remission for a year, cancer returned in the chest wall. Hearing the words "you have cancer" again was emotionally devastating, to say the least. What now? How could I possibly do this all over again? Another surgery, chemo, and radiation were completed and I am now in remission for a second time. This journey has been hard, to say the least, but along the way, I've been abundantly blessed. One of the biggest blessings has been Project Pink'd. From those that make this organization happen, to those that have been hit with the same devastating news. Knowing I do not have to walk this journey alone gives me the strength to get over those hurdles we face each day. I am excited to share my journey with others so they know they are not alone either.
