Meet Kayla
Hello! My name is Kayla Navin and I am BRCA2+. At age 34 I decided to have a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. Ironically my decision to have this preventative surgery found my cancer at its earliest stage and literally saved my life. During this crazy chapter, my family and friends were absolutely AMAZING! It’s their support plus connecting with Project Pink’d that helped me to push through. Receiving support from those who have walked this path before, those who understood the tolls cancer brings was unbelievably comforting. Each of our stories is different but it’s amazing how breast cancer connects each survivor/thriver. Through the sharing of our stories, we hope to help others that may follow us. I’m a firm believer nothing happens by coincidence and that God always has a plan. Stay tuned as I try and figure out his plan for me.
