Meet Maya
At the end of 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29. At this moment in life, I have only been married for two and half months. This bomb of cancer came as a huge shock to me. Later finding out I was in stage 3 grade 3, not knowing what this all meant at the time, I was just being told that I was going to get treatment and we had to start fast. I went from this young just married woman, to a woman that now had breast cancer and fighting for life. After all treatment was done, I now had to start life over again. Not knowing what to do and no one getting what I was going through with all my emotions I turned to Project Pink’d, to women that just got what I was feeling. That's when my opportunity opened up to apply for this retreat to understand what I was feeling is ok.
