This month our host is Jamie Foster and she will be discussing the differences in Medicaid/Medicare as well as assistance programs available to patients through their insurance plans such as but not limited to: cell phones, transportation, support groups, food pantries, online resources, etc. She will also be discussing disability and Harper's Hope, funded by Methodist.

A brief Bio:

My name is Jaime Foster. I am the Practice manager for Bluffs Family Health Care in Council Bluffs Iowa. I grew up in a very small village called The Village of Washington. I graduated from UNO with honors and my Bachelors of Science. After graduating, I was not sure what I wanted to do with my degree. I was torn between Veterinarian school or PA school. To my surprise I did not pick either. My passion is helping people. I got married in 2020, found out we were expecting our little girl in March 0f 2021 and that is when we decided to make the move to Council Bluffs. I have been here with BFHC since February 2022 and absolutely love my job.

I currently manage 2 offices, Family Practice and Internal Medicine. I work with insurance companies daily for prior authorizations, scripts, referrals, etc. I am also currently on the list to attend school to become a Community Health Care Worker. As a CHCO I will be trained to help patients who experience SDoH (Social Determinants of Health) get things such as food, housing, goods, health care, money, transportation, basic home care, education, work, and legal help for free. I have teamed up with Harpers Hope and NHN to come up with as much information as possible.

Project Pink’d representatives are not medical professionals. All information provided is based on experience. Survivors are encouraged to seek medical advice regarding their treatment plans.
