Ashley is a seasoned real estate development professional with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in the industry. She has successfully led and contributed to a diverse array of projects, including affordable housing, market-rate housing, hospitals, hotels, mixed-use developments, senior living facilities, and acquisitions of existing projects.
She is the Co-Owner and Vice President of Mesner Development Co., where she meticulously oversees every phase of the project lifecycle, from site acquisition to Certificate of Occupancy and beyond. Her keen oversight ensures that all projects are executed to the highest standards. In addition to her comprehensive management duties, she acts as a liaison between state agencies, architects, engineers, and city representatives, ensuring smooth communication and effective collaboration across all parties involved.
Ashley has demonstrated exceptional skill in securing funding through various competitive applications. She has worked closely with Kansas Housing Resources Corp., Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and many other Agencies. Her expertise encompasses submitting successful applications for tax credits, Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funds, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Trust Fund resources, and other critical gap financing supports.
Ashley holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska Kearney and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Regis University.
Along with being an amazing business woman, Ashley is also a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in 2023, with no family history of breast cancer and no high-risk factors for the disease. She finished treatment in 2024 and remains cancer-free. She wears the title, survivor, with deep gratitude, embracing life with a renewed sense of purpose and advocating for early detection and self-advocacy.
