61% of Program Dollars Support Helping Hand

As insurance and medical costs rise, the basic needs of food and shelter can become difficult. Due to the increasing demand, Project Pink'd allocated 61% of the annual program budget to meet those needs.

755 Healing Hearts Survivor Kits

The Healing Hearts Program was launched. 755 Healing Hearts Survivor Kits addressing each modality of treatment (Chemotherapy, Radiation, and Surgery) were distributed to 28 healthcare facilities in Nebraska & Western Iowa.

12,400 Daily Affirmations

Over 400 survivors were touched by receiving a Jar of Hope, each jar containing 31 messages, resulting in 12,400 inspirational daily affirmations to brighten the day of local breast cancer survivors. Each quote folded by hand and placed in a jar with love. Each jar making a difference.

Pink’d Helping Hand Grants Doubled

Due to the rising costs of healthcare and insurance, requests for financial assistance doubled and Project Pink'd was there to meet the demand. Over 200 survivors were provided financial assistance through our Helping Hand program.

Project Pink'd Partners with Methodist to Serve 150 Survivors

Project Pink'd partnered with Methodist Hospital to provide post-surgical camisoles to patients who undergo surgery providing comfort and protection for healing.

600 Hours of Complimentary Yoga

Nearly 600 hours of complimentary Love & light Yoga sessions were provided to breast cancer survivors in our community. Survivors were introduced to different types of yoga practice and taken on a journey of discovery and healing.

Care to Share Thanksgiving Expands to Lincoln

Project Pink'd partnered with Nebraska Medicine and Whole Foods to expand the Care to Share Thanksgiving Program by 237% serving 175 survivors in both Bellevue and Lincoln.

Project Pink'd & CHI Image Recovery Partnership Assists 30 Survivors

Project Pink'd partnered with CHI to provide surgical bras, compression garments, prosthetics and wigs to breast cancer survivors in Nebraska & Western Iowa.

Chef's Table Expands to 3 Classes

Project Pink'd, Harper's Hope and Whole Foods partner to deliver our Chef's Table program. Chef's Table provides nutrition and culinary tools to address cancer risks. This program tripled this year offering 3 classes and serving 60 survivors in the Omaha Metro Area.

Project Pink'd & VNA Partnership Assists Rural Communities

Project Pink'd partnered with VNA to extend finanicial assistance to breast cancer survivors in rural counties in Nebraska & Western Iowa.

65 Hours of Counseling & Healing Touch in Council Bluffs

Project Pink'd awarded a grant to Wings of Hope for their I-Thrive Project, providing integrative care services that speak directly to the psycho-social needs of survivors .

17 Survivors Dared to Thrive

17 survivors completed our 5-month extensive Dare to Thrive Renewal Program, helping them create a thriving and purposeful future after breast cancer. The program leans on bite-size tools, one-on-one support and a strong community network as a catalyst for addressing everyday life issues that survivors experience after treatment.

Over 200 Shower Belts Provided to CHI Saint Elizabeths

Project Pink'd funded the UNL Women's Club to make and deliver over 200 Shower Belts to breast cancer survivors at CHI Saint Elizabeth's Cancer Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Nebraska Medicine Provides a Helping Hand

Nebraska Medicine went above and beyond by providing transportation, facilities and the catered Thanksgiving luncheon at Nebraska Medicine Bellevue. Chef's came in to prepare and plate a delicious meal for each survivor.

Lymphedema Program Launched

Our new Lymphedema Program was launched addressing the life-long incurable condition due to breast cancer treatment. 30 survivors completed an half-day instructional workshop and almost 150 hours of complimentary Lebed Movement classes were provided to survivors in our community.
