Chef's Table in Omaha & Lincoln

There's nothing more fun than a night out with the girls, great food and someone else doing the dishes. Sprinkle in a little fun with fellow survivors and you have an award winning recipe. Fill-up on nutrition information as Chandy Lockman-Hoke, Certified Oncology Nutritionist dispels the myths of nutrition and cancer and our healthy cooking expert will stir up something special during a cooking demo.

At the conclusion of this deliciously fun evening, participants will be provided all the ingredients needed to make the recipe demonstrated and tasted so you can make it at home. Your shopping bag is complimentary due to the generosity of our donors. Bon Appetite!

Meet Our Experts

  • Chandy is a registered dietitian and licensed medical nutrition therapist who created the Oncology Nutrition Program at Methodist in 2006. She has spent the last decade working with oncology patients and is one of only three registered dietitians in Nebraska who is board certified as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition. Chandy believes nutrition is a powerful supportive therapy that can help patients get through cancer therapy and thrive in survivorship.

  • Alyssa is your 70th & Pioneers Hy-Vee registered dietitian and licensed medical nutrition therapist since March 2014. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional science and dietetics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Alyssa completed her dietetic internship at Cox College in Springfield, Missouri, and started with Hy-Vee in Gladstone, Missouri, as a dietitian in 2010. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and continues to stay updated with current trends in nutrition and research through further continuing education and training. Alyssa enjoys helping people find realistic and creative ways to make healthy eating become a delicious part of their daily routines. As a dietitian, she is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date nutrition advice and translating it to your kitchen table - making lives easier, healthier, happier. Alyssa looks forward to meeting you at your 70th & Pioneers Hy-Vee!
